A Communicator's Run

Communications, Marketing, Social Media and Leadership in Business and Life

About

This Blog
A Communicator’s Run  explores issues in areas of interest to me. This blog focuses primarily on topics in communications, marketing and leadership, as well as the role of social media and emerging technologies in these areas. I like to think I am always learning more about these subjects, and I hope this blog will help me continue my journey.

I am a marketing communications professional in the Milwaukee area. Some of my specific interests include marketing and communications planning and strategy development, and the role/impact of social media in marketing and communications. I love to explore what works, what doesn’t work, why, and how it can be made better or approached differently.

I currently work in marketing and communications for University School of Milwaukee. The views expressed on this blog, however, are mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employer.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies and a Master of Arts degree in communication with a specialization in advertising and public relations from Marquette University.

Other interests that could influence my writing from time to time include sports, running, music and news.  I love sports, especially basketball and football. As a Marquette alum, I am an MU basketball fan, and having grown up in the Kansas City area, I’m also a University of Kansas basketball fan. My football allegiances are with the Green Bay Packers. I enjoy many types of music, but my favorite genre is Rock — from Folk Rock to Classic Rock to Alternative Rock. I also like to run and enjoy staying on top of news, current events and politics.
